The position of Large Business and Sponsorship Executive is a brand-new role created within the Chamber’s Large Business Team, designed to support with the retention of business members within the Chamber’s President’s Club and Partner portfolios and to assist with the promotion and delivery of its growing sponsorship proposition. What you'll be doing:

The role is varied with a degree of flexibility and autonomy to enable the successful candidate to achieve set KPI’s.
  • The main purpose of the role is to help support with the retention of large business members and effective promotion and delivery of sponsorship opportunities and will include:
  • Providing a consistent high standard of service to Chamber members through the delivery of existing sponsorship agreements; maximising CRM to accurately and effectively manage and track further engagement/ sponsorship related enquiries and activity; coordinating the promotion of opportunities amongst the wider membership
  • Supporting the delivery of the Chamber’s Large Business care framework and delivery of touch points throughout the year. To include contacting new members via phone/ email post 1 month and arranging 4-month touch point for Senior Relationship Managers
  • Providing general administrative support across the team to strengthen member relations with large business members & sponsors to ensure benefits associated with being a Chamber member are maximised accordingly. This will include the coordination of large business comms, hospitality events and administration of Partner member lunch series

What we need to see

Our team is passionate about North East business and have the ability to work hard to achieve desired outcomes. Skills and experience are important but what is important above all else is character and willingness to achieve. It is vitally important that we find the right person who fits into our beliefs and culture here at the Chamber.
Some of the other things we are looking for include:
  • Proven track record in Customer Care and B2B Sales
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
  • Use of CRM System or similar
  • Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills including strong social media skills
  • Customer orientated & focused
  • Able to achieve multiple deadlines and targets
  • Strong desire to identify solutions to problems and instigate change
  • Be able to work flexible hours and locations when required
