Give us a brief overview of your business

We setup in 2011 with aim to bring the latest cloud technology to the world of accountancy. Justin & Sue who are husband and wife setup the business together. We have gone to strength to strength and Orange Umbrella now employ 7 members of staff. We cater for the small business market. We specialise particularly in property, ecommerce and construction. Our key to success has to be proactive with our client and to deliver exceptional customer service.

What has been your top tip for keeping business going during Covid-19?

As soon as the first lockdown was announced we set out to provide as much help as we could to not just our clients but to anyone who wanted it. Justin offered up his diary to anyone who was struggling to understand the support available and over the course of 2 weeks helped over 80 businesses get support. This helped us gain new clients although it wasn’t what we set out to do and has led to us employing 2 more people during the pandemic. We’ve been really active getting support out to clients and have seen the importance of providing on-going education to anyone needing help. At the heart of our business is to help freely and continually educate.

Tell us why you are a Chamber member?

It’s been great being a Chamber member as there are great service available to help with legal documents and a port of call when we might need help. We’ve found the support offered via the DIT has been incredibly helpful for our clients importing and exporting. In the past we have attending the networking event which are always welcoming and friendly.
