Presenteeism is an issue in many businesses and is certainly something we support our clients with. So, what’s the difference between Presenteeism and Absenteeism?
Presenteeism: Employees attend work when they are physically or mentally unwell and therefore are not operating to their usual level of productivity. Tired, unmotivated and sick employees attend work even though they are feeling unwell.
Absenteeism: When a person regularly doesn’t attend work due to illness or injury; often employees will seize any opportunity to take a sick day.
