A special charity performance in aid of The Children’s Foundation

Bradley Creswick – First Violin
Jenny Change – Second Viiolin
John Treherne – Harpsichord
Gabriel Waite – Cello

The Four Seasons, a group of four violin concerti, is the most popular of the works of Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi. Bradley Creswick, Leader Emeritus of Royal Northern Sinfonia, presents a unique performance of this classical favourite, livestreamed from The Globe, in aid of The Children’s Foundation.

Since joining Royal Northern Sinfonia in 1984, Bradley has become a firm favourite with north east audiences, bringing a unique energy, warmth and animation to performances. He stepped down from his role as leader of the orchestra in its 60th anniversary year in 2019, and has recently been appointed as Emeritus Leader. His musical life has been amazingly rich and varied; personal highlights include the EMI recording of Vaughan Williams’ ‘The Lark Ascending’ and Concerto Accademico with Richard Hickox, and being leader of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.

The Children’s Foundation is based at the Sir James Spence Institute, Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Their overall aim is to ensure that North East children and young people are happy and healthy – that they feel loved, respected, are given a voice and are heard. Their main projects include: Clown Doctors, Horticulture Project, Fuzzy Subjects – a primary schools mental health project, and during the Covid pandemic provision of ‘Food and Fun Packs’ to vulnerable families
