The Grief, Loss and Bereavement Training taster session will take place on Thursday January 21, 2021 at 12noon, and is aimed at employers, line managers and anyone responsible for staff.
Bereavement is a huge challenge for employers as most people will experience the death of a family member or close friend during their working lives.
Death and dying are not easy subjects to talk about but they are issues that affect us all and have been at the forefront of our daily lives more so than ever during 2020.
The short, taster session is designed to help employers understand how to positively support a colleague back to work following the death of a loved one.The session will look at the importance of having a strategy in place within an organisation, not only in relation to the employer’s duty of care, but also as good business practice regarding staff retention, time lost through absence and the wellbeing of the team.
The Grief, Loss and Bereavement Training is delivered online by St Oswald’s Hospice’s Bereavement Team and lasts around 45 minutes. To register, visit: http://bit.ly/3noTXVb
