Give us a brief overview of your business
ARC is an independent arts charity based in the heart of Stockton and offering a full programme of professional, high quality cultural entertainment including music, comedy, drama, dance, film and arts activities for families. We also have an extensive programme of creative activity for people of all ages to take part in and we provide support and development opportunities for performance artists. We work with an increasing range of partners across the Tees Valley, the North East region and beyond to ensure we are offering the very best cultural activity for Stockton. Having a variety of attractive spaces for hire within the building, we host meetings, conferences and training sessions, as well as performances by local people. ‘A Theatre Trip for Every Child’, is ARC’s charitable giving scheme and it aims to give every five year old child in Stockton the chance to experience their first trip to theatre, free of charge. We are inviting local businesses and individuals to become supporters. The case for support is compelling because enabling very young children to visit the theatre free of charge is a cost effective method of rewarding customer loyalty and a unique way for businesses to ‘give back’ to the community they serve. Each ticket costs £10 and businesses are invited to donate at a level they are most comfortable with and whether they support a whole year group or a class of pupils - all supporters are rewarded, thanked and acknowledged through ARC’s marketing and social media platforms. For more information about how your business can contribute, please contact Gill Adams on 01642 525199 or by email on: firstname.lastname@example.org Please see the businesses that are already supporting the scheme here: https://arconline.co.uk/support-us/corporate-giving
Let us know about a recent business success
On Saturday 8th September at least £2,500 was raised for ‘A Theatre Trip for Every Child’ by volunteer runners who were sponsored by their family and friends to run in the first ever Simplyhealth Great Tees 10K Run. Five of the runners were employees at ARC and 2 were employees of North Star Housing Group who are corporate supporters of ‘A Theatre Trip for Every Child’. That means that at least 250 five-year-olds living in Stockton will get their first experience of live theatre performance at ARC very shortly.
Tell us why you are a Chamber member
We would like to raise the profile of ARC across the Tees Valley and connect with other businesses through the events and networking opportunities offered by the Chamber. We see it as a great way to enable businesses to engage with all that ARC has to offer and specifically to support ‘A Theatre Trip for Every Child’. And, we would like to think that the Chamber will benefit hugely from having ARC as one of its members.
