New account managers at top creative agency …

A leading North East digital creative agency has strengthened its team with two new appointments.

Rachel Vaclik, from Gosforth and Tom Lamb, also from Gosforth, have joined The Roundhouse, Fenham Hall Studios, Newcastle, in the role of account manager.

In a print, design and brand management career spanning more than 20 years, Rachel, 42, has worked with some of the biggest names in the financial and pharmaceutical sectors

Overseeing teams of up to 25 people, she has handled the accounts for companies such as Pfizer, Shire Pharmaceuticals, MSD Merck and wealth manger Brewin Dolphin.

The Roundhouse, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, is one of the UK’s leading design and brand communications agencies delivering strategic messaging and printed materials for universities, businesses and charities.

And, in her new role, Rachel will manage one of the agency’s biggest clients; the University of Liverpool and long standing client; Newcastle-based global shipping insurance company, North.

“My new role will be very client focussed,” said Rachel, who holds a degree in Music and a Masters in Library and Information Management, “and that was what attracted me to The Roundhouse”.

“It has very strong relationships with its clients and places a clear emphasis on traditional values, such as reliability and integrity, which is why it has such a good reputation within the industry.”

It was The Roundhouse’s reputation, which attracted Tom, who spent seven years working for North East design agencies after graduating in Marketing and Management from the University of Northumbria.

“I have worked for several very good agencies,” he said, “but not only is The Roundhouse very highly regarded for the quality and professionalism of its work, it is also a very friendly and happy company.

“I wanted to work somewhere with a family atmosphere and I have found it here.”

In his new role, Tom will manage The Roundhouse’s recently acquired account with Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University.

Managing Director, Ian Humpish, said: “I am delighted to welcome Rachel and Tom to the team. I am confident they will be a really good fit in terms of personality, skill and creativity.”
