North East comedian and BGT winner The Lost Voice Guy asks for charity donations for birthday gift

Britain’s Got Talent winner Lee Ridley has generously turned down birthday gifts in favour of donations to help disabled young people across the North East.

Lee, also known as The Lost Voice Guy, has Cerebral Palsy and communicates through an electronic device, and won the ITV talent show in June 2018.

Lee turned 38 on Sunday 31st December, and instead of gifts, asked for donations to Smile For Life Children’s Charity, which aims to change the lives of disabled and disadvantaged young people across the region.

Lee, who became patron of the Gosforth-based charity in May 2017, posted the request on Twitter and Facebook to a combined 151,000 social media followers.
