Sunderland, UK – WorkCast, a leading webinar and online events platform, has announced it is adding more roles to its already expanded team.
Due to an exponential increase in demand for their product and services as more businesses take their events online, WorkCast is adding another six roles, mainly out of its North East England base in Sunderland, with additional planned growth in its Seattle and Edinburgh offices in the near future.
The company is forecasting 100% YoY growth for 2021, as it has seen a
300% increase in utilisation of the platform this year alone. This comes off
the back of the company’s recent Queen’s Award for Enterprise win earlier this
year.
This success means that, not only can the company continue to expand,
but it can help grow the local economy as well. WorkCast is particularly
excited to be able to expand its workforce in Sunderland, where the team has
grown more than 35% since January 2020 already. With six new roles being added
over the coming quarter, WorkCast is helping drive the North East tech-economy
through a difficult time.
WorkCast
CEO, Stewart Kibby, says: “WorkCast has offered an outstanding product for
years, and to be able to support the growth of the online events industry in
these times is quite an exceptional thing.
It’s been a
difficult time for everyone, but I am proud of the adaptability of everyone at
WorkCast. We have worked hard to support the team as they transition to
working from home while still maintaining our excellent standard of service.
Everyone has done a fantastic job.
To support
our continued success, we know it’s important to keep our competitive
advantage, which our Sunderland base allows us to do, so I’m excited that the
bulk of our growth will be there. I think it’s great for the company and great
for the region.”
In 2020
alone, WorkCast has grown its workforce by more than 30% across its UK and US
offices. And they’re not just backfilling and expanding existing
departments; WorkCast is creating new roles and investing in business
development across the board.
