Industry Sector: Education

We are proud to play our part in developing the skilled workforce of tomorrow and the next generation of entrepreneurs who can start their own business, boost economic growth in the region and help existing businesses compete across the globe.

Our training reflects industry needs; programmes and facilities are designed by working closely with businesses and entrepreneurs to give our learners the employment edge.

We work with employers across the UK to deliver bespoke training programmes and apprenticeships. Our approach is first to listen then to act; to take time to understand the skills challenges faced by industry and deliver customised solutions that have an immediate and tangible impact.

Our professional team have all worked in industry so they can deliver training that is underpinned by their knowledge and expertise. Whether we are working with people who are returning to work, changing career, progressing in their role or starting work for the very first time, we ensure that all of our learners have the skills, confidence and motivation to be successful and bring added value to their employer.

We aim to equip students with the skills, experience and attitude that will make them the most highly prized employees.

Develop new markets aligned to employer needs. Support businesses to remain competitive and secure their future by providing training that is informed by employers and delivered by industry professionals.

“We're extremely proud to be working in partnership with the Chamber – an organisation which shares our mission to support and strengthen our region's businesses, enabling them to be successful and thrive in a global marketplace. "Gateshead College is working with the Chamber and its members to ensure North East industry is prepared and in the best possible position to meet the future skills needs for the changing economy."
