Stephen Wood, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Head of Sales, Northern England sets out the ways his business has helped North East businesses and the NHS during the current challenging times.
“As an essential service provider Enterprise has remained open during the Covid-19 crisis to support those organisations and key workers who have been on the frontline. Our operations have been at the forefront of this work providing a range of commercial vehicles, some specially adapted, to meet our customers’ needs.
In the North East we have provided a large number of vehicles of all types to a huge variety of businesses and organisations, ranging from large NHS Trusts to local butchers who were able to start a home delivery service using our vehicle.
The safety and well-being of our staff and customers have been our top priority and like all businesses, we have had to make changes to the way we operate. Our people have demonstrated great resilience and flexibility as we introduced new ways of working. These included kerbside rentals at our locations which means customers do not have to come into our premises, helping ensure social distancing and enabling them to collect their vehicles quickly.
We are also committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in the industry. Each of our vehicles is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between every rental and backed with the Complete Clean Pledge, an initiative that we introduced in May to show our customers and employees that we stand behind that commitment.
These changes are not just being implemented for the crisis but will play an important part in reassuring customers as we gradually begin to return to a normal business environment.Enterprise is a family owned business and we have been operating for more than 60 years. Although these are unique times, we are committed to being a valued partner to North East businesses and playing our part in helping the regional economy recover and thrive.
