The region's leading business support organisation has joined forces with one of the North East's leading, full service legal firms to offer guidance to businesses at a forthcoming business expo.

Business PlusThe region's leading business support organisation has joined forces with one of the North East's leading, full service legal firms to offer guidance to businesses at a forthcoming business expo.

The North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) has joined with Newcastle-based Sintons LLP to host the 'Legal Zone' at the forthcoming Business Plus events, organised by Business and Enterprise Group.

Business Plus will take place across two regional events, which are free to attend for all businesses, at the Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel on 25 September and later at the Wynyard Rooms, Billingham on 16 October.

The events are specifically designed to help businesses make that step change to develop and drive business growth and will feature opportunities to network, meet buyers and find out about access to finance.

The legal zone will give businesses the opportunity to come along to mini-workshops, seminars and demonstrations, as well as talking face to face with experts.

NECC will showcase one of its flagship membership benefits, Business Essentials Online, an HR helpline and online advice service developed for NECC by HR specialists, Croner.

It is based on their Croner-I service, which would usually cost £750 per year; however NECC members can access the service free of charge as it is included as part of membership.

Legal experts from Sintons will be available to discuss various aspects of law affecting businesses.

Attendees will be able to pre-book 30 minute legal surgery sessions with solicitors from Sintons for free advice on any aspect of business law.

It is hoped that the legal zone will give visitors the opportunity to gain a taste of the services available, whilst also taking advantage of specialist legal guidance from Sintons.

Head of Marketing at NECC, Charlie Nettle, said:

"NECC's primary aim is to make the North East a success.

"We hope that by supporting the Business Plus events we can demonstrate some of the legal services that are available to help businesses and drive development and growth across our whole business community.

"We are very pleased to be working with member firm Sintons and for them providing their expertise and representing the strong legal presence that the wider NECC network enjoys."

Charles Penn, Head of Marketing at Sintons LLP, said:

"We are very pleased to be working alongside NECC and look forward to assisting businesses from across the region grow by providing our expertise at the Business Plus events.

"In order to be successful businesses need to receive sound guidance on a number of different areas and both ourselves and NECC feel it is vital that we can inform them as to what services are at their disposal."
