Identify opportunities to do business
The North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) has published a useful guide for suppliers interested in competing for work with public sector organisations in the North East.
The “Overview of Public Sector Procurement in the North East” provides a directory of public sector organisations in the region alongside information on how each organisation advertises tendering opportunities.
The guide was commissioned by NEPO’s Stakeholder Engagement Group, chaired by Ross Smith (Director of Policy at North East England Chamber of Commerce). Ross said:
“We are keen to ensure that suppliers in the region are aware of the opportunities to do business with the North East public sector. In 2015/16 NEPO’s Member Authorities alone spent over £2.1bn with suppliers, 62% of which was with North East suppliers. This guide will help suppliers to identify opportunities to do business with this significant sector.”

NEPO will regularly review and update the guide to include additional North East public sector organisations. If you represent a public sector organisation that is not yet listed, or if you have any queries and comments, please contact Jenny Robins at NEPO (firstname.lastname@example.org, Tel. 07976 828252).
